The Old Station House Bed and Breakfast in the White Peak area of the Peak District is one of the closest B&Bs to Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Bakewell, three of the area's most popular attractions. We are located in the picturesque village of Rowsley, with a pub and two upmarket restaurants within a five minute walk. We have plenty of off road parking and secure bicycle storage on the property so our family run B&B is the perfect base while exploring the National Park.
Our beautiful house was designed in 1850 by Joseph Paxton, the year before he built the famous Crystal Palace for the Great Exhibition in London. We have just three guest bedrooms, two doubles and one twin/superking which has extra long 6' 6" beds. All the rooms are fully ensuite, have TV/DVD players and Wi-Fi, as well as views over the surrounding countryside. We also have a guest lounge where our visitors can relax in the evenings. Served at a communal table, our breakfast is second to none, with free range eggs from the farm opposite our house, local free range bacon, local farm produced sausages, homemade bread and preserves.
Rooms
At our Peak District B&B we have two double rooms and one twin which has extra long (6' 6") beds that can be converted into a superking for multiple night stays. All three rooms have full en-suite shower rooms, TV/DVD players and WiFi using fiber-optic broadband as well as coffee and tea making facilities. There is also a hairdryer and radio alarm clock in each room and a local information pack which contains details of attractions, restaurants, popular walks and public transport. We also have an extensive collection of guidebooks, walking guides and maps available for our guests to borrow during their stay.
