Standing regally in 35 acres of stunning, private Estate parkland and widely recognised as Edinburgh's 'Castle in the country,' Carberry Tower is a place of intimate grandeur and to arrive here, is to weave your own story into a history that goes back to 1480 when our first foundation stone was laid.

Since then, we have been a gathering place for Kings and Queens, Princes and Princesses and over the centuries, the great and the good have all come to warm themselves by our fires and feast from our banqueting tables. And with 30 en-suite bedrooms, ranging from elegant classic rooms to larger family rooms, well equipped executive rooms and luxurious Suites, we are able to accommodate up to 70 household guests in comfort and style.

THE ROYAL SUITE

With stunning views over the Estate, our Royal Suites are some of the finest and most spacious in the Edinburgh area. Presented with toiletries from Floris of London, homemade shortbread on arrival, tea and coffee making facilities and a selection of teas and coffees from Brodie's of Edinburgh, our Royal Suites simply enfold you and offer a real haven away from everyday life.

And for your comfort and added convenience, an elevator services all main floors.

GRANDÉ SUITES

Why not spend your break luxuriating in the very rooms where our Queen used to sleep as a child when visiting Carberry Tower, or where her sister Princess Margaret often played with their Governess in what used to be the Day Nursery. Generously furnished and with luxury en-suites, our Grandé Suites are also presented with toiletries from Floris of London and a selection of coffees and teas from Brodie's of Edinburgh.

TURRET SUITE

A twin aspect room with far reaching views over the south lawns and the main driveway, our Turret Suite is in one of the oldest parts of Carberry Tower and has an enchanting winding staircase up to its very own en-suite bathroom, which includes a generous shower cubicle and a separate bath to relax in. The suite is presented with toiletries from Floris of London, tea and coffee making facilities and a selection of coffees and teas from Brodie's of Edinburgh.

EXECUTIVE ROOMS

For those who prefer an even more generously appointed room, our en-suite Executive Rooms offer the ideal choice. Many are double-aspect with far-reaching views over the Estate grounds and all have comfortable seating for two and room to relax in. All come with complimentary White Company toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities, mineral water, wall-mounted televisions and hairdryers, as well as built-in safes for life's little precious things.

Most of the executive rooms can also be transformed into a twin single layout or family rooms - with the addition of one or two full-sized single beds. Just call our reception team who will be more then happy to help and advise.

CLASSIC ROOMS

With fascinating vantage points and views over the Estate grounds, our elegantly appointed en-suite bedrooms evoke a warm and welcoming ambience. Many still have their original fireplaces and working shutters and all come with complimentary White Company toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities, mineral water, wall-mounted televisions and hairdryers, as well as built-in safes for life's little precious things.

Our en-suite single rooms are absolutely ideal for those who like to travel on their own or for business guests.
