Boku is bringing you the opportunity to treat all your senses. One of life’s fundamental elements is food, we would like to celebrate life with you by offering our polished arrangement of quality and display of Japanese cuisine. Located in the distillery district, an area where time stands still, the ambience of Boku provides a wonderful connection between Canada’s Industrial history, and Asian culture. Made by fermenting rice that is polished from the bran. Its taste is undeniably unique with its own offering of sophistication. Sake breaks down to 6 designations; Junmai Daiginjo, Daiginjo, Junmai Ginjo, Ginjo, Junmai, Honjozo. Each designation shares the same ingredient, which is koji rice however the taste differs from the polishing ratio of it. Sake is drunk as cold, room temperature, and hot. Hot sake is typically drunk in winter but most of the high grade sake is not served hot, because it may compromise the taste and aroma. Modern sake has been evolving throughout history and now it offers a large variety in taste and character. We have unique offering of craft cocktails where we infuse Japanese shochu with variety of fruits and vegetables. The infusion of shochu brings a more matured and deeper taste of its content. Craft cocktails bring a new slightly more modernised look and feel into the whole culture of drinking. We hope you will enjoy our cocktails and enjoy the creativities of our bartender.

Boku Sushi provides a touch of Asian flair in the heart of the Distillery District. This chic Japanese restaurant serves up a slew of favorites ranging from sushi to tempura in a classy and sophisticated environment. The exposed brick space has an industrial feel that’s a bit unusual for a Japanese restaurant, but once you do a double-take, it’s actually quite inviting. Steps at the entrance.
