This non-working farm dates back to the 17th century and is situated in the mountainous Brecon Beacons National Park which divides naturally into three well-defined upland areas, the wild Black Mountains of the west, the gentler Black Mountain to the east and in the middle of South Wales the highest peaks the Brecon Beacons themselves Cribyn 562', Pen-y-Fan 886', Corn Du 873'.
