VANCOUVER IS A CITY OF ARTISTIC EXPRESSION AND CULTURAL EXPLORATION. IT IS THE CREATIVE ESSENCE IN ALL VANCOUVERITES THAT LOVES TO EMBRACE AND REVISIT THE ICONIC MOMENTS OF OUR PAST, AND MORPH THEM INTO OUR EXPERIENCES OF TODAY.
There is no better place that demonstrates this passion than Hotel at the Waldorf, Vancouver’s famed cultural hub in much loved and vibrant East Van. From our iconic Polynesian themed Tiki Bar and venues Tabu and the Hideaway, to our retro hotel rooms, Hotel at the Waldorf has you stepping back in time to relive different eras of Vancouver. Hotel at the Waldorf is an experience to be explored with a sense of whimsy and a relaxed attitude.
Downtown Vancouver is easily accessed and just minutes away from Hotel at the Waldorf. The hotel is also situated a short way from Commercial Drive and Gastown; two eclectic and historic hubs with the newest restaurants and boutique shops.
HOTEL AT THE WALDORF IS NOT YOUR STANDARD HOTEL. EACH ROOM FOCUSES ON THE EXPERIENCE INSTEAD OF THE SIZE OF THE ROOM OR THE THREAD COUNT OF THE SHEETS.
Hotel at the Waldorf is an affordable alternative to staying in the hustle and bustle of the city. The hotel has a quirky, artistic, and casual feeling throughout, as no two rooms are alike. It’s perfect for spontaneous last minute overnight stays, a crash pad after a night out in the city, or for the budget conscious traveler. Each room features amenities such as:
PARKING
Hotel at the Waldorf has public parking lot located adjacent to the building. It is accessible by heading west on E. Hastings Street, towards downtown Vancouver. The parking lot operates on a first come, first serve basis and is therefore subject to availability. We are not liable for any break-ins or thefts, so we ask that you do not keep any valuables in your vehicle.
HOTEL AT THE WALDORF AMENITIES INCLUDE A CAFE & PIZZERIA, BAR, TWO NIGHT CLUBS AND A LIQUOR STORE.
NONNA'S TABLE CAFE & PIZZERIA
Italian inspired comfort food including authentic wood oven fired pizza, just like grandma used to make. Using quality, local ingredients and hearty portions, it’s the perfect spot for brunch, lunch or dinner.
THE TIKI BAR
The infamous Tiki Bar with retro and Polynesian decor creates a unique vibe that takes you back in time. The bar has been a Vancouver mainstay since the late 1940s with its plaster palm trees, starry ceiling, and bamboo lined walls. Constantly re-inventing itself and staying current, the Tiki Bar is the spot to listen to some urban beats and have a relaxing drink or two. The Tiki Bar is a multi-venue complex, with two additional rooms – Tabu and The Hideaway. These venues have hosted hundreds of incredible concerts, corporate events, weddings, and private performances.
THE BOTTLE SHOP LIQUOR STORE
This jam-packed specialty and craft beer store offers an array of cold local and imported beer, coolers, ciders, and spirits, as well as wines from BC. The shelves have quick rotating stock and something new is always being brought in. There is always a limited selection of specialty micro brews and wines, which are not offered by other local liquor stores. Let the knowledgeable staff help you make the right choice, every time.

Read All ReviewsIn terms of the hotel, the only thing I would say is that the bathrooms could do with having more storage space for toiletries and it would be helpful if the hotel had some form of access for people with wheelchairs and push chairs at the main entrance on Park Avenue. All other hotels we’ve stayed at have a disabled entrance next to the main one and a ramp as you walk in if there are some stairs. Last time I recall if you go further down past the main entrance there is a ramp but it is quite a way from the main door. We ended up going through the parking garage underneath the hotel and going up two lifts. Need some improvement for the wheelchair user.
