We are a 17th century Coaching Inn in the quiet village of sheering, allowing easy access to Bishops Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Harlow and Stansted airport. As we are a 15minute drive from Stansted airport and 30minutes by train to Cambridge or London, staying at The Cock Inn is very popular with all types of visitors.
The Bedford family have owned the property since 1998 and in that time they are continually expanding and improving the business. As the family not only work but also live on the premises you will be made welcome during your stay at “their home.” As there are 3 generations of Bedford’s you will always at some point be chatting to one of them.
