Tacos are a national staple in Mexico and a popular street food. Walk a few steps in any direction and you’ll find someone cooking up a batch on a busy corner. They’re quick, fresh and inexpensive, but never lacking in taste. We’ve taken the same approach at Tacos 101: authentic Mexican tacos that won’t break your bank. Meet Chef Julio Campos: a taco renegade hailing from Mexico on a mission to bring his famous tacos to the world. He’s been slinging tacos since he was in diapers so trust us when we say he knows a thing or two. In his world, “real tacos should always be fresh, quick and inexpensive. Simplicity is the key.” Never one to conform to the status quo, Julio brings a fresh perspective on Mexican cuisine in Toronto – always pushing his limits and chasing perfection. His goal: “to bring you the authenticity and freshness that inspired me when I was young, without having to fly to Mexico.”

Read All ReviewsOwners Andrew Paprocki and Jeff Sato cite just cosmetic changes inside. The compact shop consists simply of an open kitchen fronted by a walk-up counter and a rail along the window for diners to perch against while eating. The menu is appreciatively uncomplicated featuring a lineup of just five tacos, a couple of sides, traditional Mexican drinks and rotating weekly features. Friendly staff and some of the best taco’s in Toronto. A large variety to choice from. The prices are just right too
