Richard & Sayfon Atkinson invite you to spend your holiday in the Lake District at 'Shemara'. Our aim is to make your stay with us as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Cleanliness and hospitality at 'Shemara' is second to none as shown by our Welcome Host Certificate.

All of our seven bedrooms have views of the surrounding fells with the front facing rooms having views of the Borrowdale and Newlands fells and the rear facing rooms overlooking Skiddaw and Latrigg. We have private parking for 4 cars and a public car park is situated opposite the guest house (charges apply). Our car park is on a first come first served basis.

Breakfast is served in our cosy dining room and ranges from Continental to full Cumbrian to kippers, smoked salmon and scrambled egg or deviled mushrooms on hot buttered toast, or a vegetarian option. We also offer a range of speciality tea, coffee and herbal drinks.

In the evenings the dining room is open for you to sample Sayfon's authentic Thai cooking.
