The Old Coach House Dolcorsllwyn, Aberangell, Machynlleth SY20 9AB, United Kingdom

We offer a warm welcome to all our guests who have booked our holiday cottage. We are located in the Dyfi Valley between the market towns of Machynlleth and Dolgellau, on the southern edge of the Snowdonia National Park.

We are easily accessible by road from all parts of the UK, whilst train travellers can be collected from Machynlleth. We are about thirty minutes from the beautiful sandy beaches of Aberdyfi and Barmouth.

Our Holiday Cottage Accommodation has consistently been graded as Four Star by Visit Wales for the last eight years. The most recent visit (May 2016) awarded many aspects of the cottage as Five Star, following major refurbishment in the winter of 2016. We try to ensure that our guests enjoy a peaceful and comfortable stay whilst experiencing a very warm Welsh welcome.

Our large barn can be used to store bicycles, fishing gear etc. The porch on the cottage is ideal for leaving muddy boots.

Upstairs there is a large newly fitted bathroom with a walk-in shower, wash basin, toilet and heated towel rail. The good sized bedroom can be made up as super-king or twin and overlooks the cottage garden.

In each of our rooms we provide beautiful Myddfai bathroom accessories, made locally in Carmarthenshire, that are both kind to your skin and the environment. Most of the food served in our delicious breakfasts and evening meals are sourced locally or grown by us.

Evening meals can be provided in the dining room in the main house with prior notice.

Guests are free to make use of our garden that overlooks the River Dyfi and is surrounded by hills and trees. There are a number of seating areas where guests can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Dyfi Valley. We grow a range of fruit and vegetables and have planted wildlife-friendly flowers and shrubs. Guests are welcome to pick fruit, vegetables and herbs as available.

We have two ponds in the garden to support wildlife and we have a good variety of birds visiting the garden throughout the year. This winter we have been delighted by a charm of gold finches on the bird feeders every day. New to the garden is a small wildflower meadow which we hope will attract many more bees and butterflies.

The Old Coach House is a strictly non-smoking property and we regret that we are unable to accept pets.
