Established in the popular Kensington St dining precinct of Chippendale, Bistrot Gavroche is a little piece of Paris just waiting to be discovered. Paying homage to the chef's French heritage and family, the restaurant celebrates classic dishes in a fashion that is perfect for the modern Australian table. The spirit of Paris is glorified not only through the burgundy escargots baked in their shell with parsley and garlic butter but through the vintage artworks adorning the walls and the chicly dressed waitstaff. In celebration of Chef Frederic’s roots, the menu at Bistrot Gavroche pays homage to recipes from his youth, cooking in his grand père (grandfather) Henri’s restaurant and kitchen from the tender age of 10. Add in an array of classic dishes that capture the Parisian spirit and a wine list with a mix of both French and Australian wines hand-selected by sommelier, general manager and co-owner Lionel Richard, and you’ve got the buzz of Paris in the heart of Sydney. We are a licensed restaurant, no BYO.
