Filey is an excellent base for visiting the ancient Roman city of York, the North York Moors National Park and many of Yorkshire's most loved and best-kept villages such as Thornton-le-Dale and Hutton-le-Hole. Whitby and Heartbeat country are just a short drive away and for golfing enthusiasts there are numerous golf courses to choose from, nearby.
