Each of the bedrooms here at the Roundthorn has its own unique and varied character and all are furnished to the highest standard. En-suite bathrooms, telephones, Internet connection and hospitality trays are standard in every room, and many have spectacular outlooks over the Eden Valley and Lakeland Fells.
There are a variety of rooms available; our Four Poster for that special occasion, the Mini Suite for those who prefer to have a little extra space, or one of our Family rooms, which accommodate families of up to four.
For those staying in the area on business, double rooms are available for single occupancy to make your stay as spacious as possible, and business facilities are available in our Penrith hotel.
Roundthorn’s ‘Great Cumbrian Breakfast’, served in the Eden Room each morning, is a full breakfast fit for a king! The hotel does not have a formal restaurant as such, instead offering a delicious Evening Menu served in the informal surroundings of the bar and lounge, or in your room should your prefer. Alternatively there are scores of great places we can recommend locally for an evening meal – from great Pub Food in picturesque local villages to Italian Bistros, Curry Houses and some excellent Chef-owned restaurants. We have a selection of menus from some of our own favourite ‘haunts’ in Reception for you to look through, and we would be more than happy to make a booking on your behalf if required.
