Assembly Bar is Sydney's best-kept secret, tucked away in a basement in Kent Street. It's the latest small bar to tug at our eco-friendly heart strings, with the bar top made from a recycled bridge and room dividers made from forklift pallets. Cocktails are the main attraction here. There are classics with a twist and Assembly originals but all are made with expert hands and good quality spirits. The food is worth sticking around for, too. Think drinking dishes like gourmet hot dogs and meze plates. Assembly Bar sits a little removed from the big-hitting bar scene further uptown. But that's no reason to overlook it. Following an ownership change in 2014, the space has kept its recycled, industrial aesthetic. Thanks to the addition of some all-star bartenders, it also gained some serious cocktail credentials.
