Erskine Villa is a cafe-cum-bistro with a casual vibe and an excellent European-style menu. The simply chic Erskineville dining room is filled with marble-topped tables, colourful canvases and bronze pendant lamps. The quality-obsessed kitchen makes everything in-house, including the likes of Spanish blood sausage. Order anything from squid ink risotto to chicken liver parfait or a giant lamb neck and mushroom pie. Try a house-made rose and lychee soda for a sweet, bubbly treat.
After our time as a premier cafè and pop-up diner in the area with multiple mentions in Broadsheet, TimeOut Magazine, and Urbanlist, we decided in 2017 that our space could be better used as a venue space for events and functions.
With a name like Erskine Villa we pride ourselves on being a local venue in an area that has found it’s own identity in Sydney’s Inner West as warm, vibrant, family friendly, and unique neighbourhood. With a diverse drinks selection and a food menu with a Japanese twist it’s perfect for a birthday, work function, or just because!
Erskine Villa was originally the name of the suburb Erskineville. Named after George Erskine; who was a Wesleyan minister that lived and served the early community of this area. The Erskine Villa building sits on land which was once part of Erskine’s property. With such strong ties to service in the community, our name reflects what we want to be.
