Still open after 30 years, Fatima was the first time for many. Aging foodies will recall their first encounter in high school - of beguiling nipple-slipping belly dancers, ladies fingers, addictive falafel rolls and when a ramekin of paprika-sprinkled hummus was laid before them at Fatima Lebanese Restaurant in gritty Surry Hills. Somehow no other hummus has ever measured up to that memory.
Fatima’s Lebanese Restaurant has been operating for over 30 years to create a comfortable and friendly ambiance. Fatima’s deliver good quality food and efficient service. It is a family owned and operated business that was established in 1969 as one of the first Lebanese restaurants to open in Australia.
There is a wide range of mouth watering dishes that are prepared on a daily basis for vegetarian and meat lovers. Fatima’s offer a set menu ranging from various prices and is BYO with no corkage` charge.
There is available several Cushion Lounge rooms upstairs that are most popular for parties and all other occasions and private functions. A belly dancer is offered to entertain and involve the customers throughout the whole restaurant at free of charge every Friday and Saturday night at 8.30 pm (Can be booked on other days if required).
There is also available a take away bar separate from the restaurant to suit those in a hurry. The Take away bar also caters to parties and other functions (pick up only).
