Way before bakeries became fashionable; this hole-in-a-wall bakery delivered Parisian-standard artisan bread to the fussy Eastern Suburbs' crowd. Infinity Sourdough Bakery was started in 1997 by Chef Phillip Searle, who had worked in the pastry capital of the world, Paris. Today, this local favourite continues to deliver the same standard in bakery goods. At Infinity Bakery, we are passionate about bringing you the best in baked products and sharing our passion with the wider community. Our focus is on using quality ingredients and creating products filled with love and care. From our bread to our pastries, come in and try them for yourself.
In 1997, Infinity Bakery opened as Sydney’s first organic sourdough bakery. It all started when Australian chef Phillip Searle, inspired by a classic Parisian bakery, brought the ancient craft of ‘Levain’ baking traditions back to Darlinghurst. Now under the guidance of dynamic brother and sister team William and Sophie Petersen, Infinity Bakery has recharged its heritage with a fresh new energy. William and Sophie are dedicated to using local produce and sustainable practices, while honouring the craft of authentic organic sourdough baking. They’re happiest providing the community with wholesome, baked goods… and it’s as simple as that.
