Burgate Farmhouse is a 15th century thatched listed property in Fordingbridge, Hampshire, just 5 minutes drive to the New Forest National Park. Peppa Pig World is just 25 minutes away.
There are 2 pretty self catering cottage wings of the farmhouse. Little Thatch, sleeping 2-4 & Wishing Well, sleeping 6.
The large Games Barn in the grounds has a skittle alley, pool table, table tennis table, dart board & lots of children’s toys. Dogs are welcome. Little Thatch has a back garden/yard area which is totally secure. Children of all ages are welcome. Cots, highchairs & lots of other baby/toddler ‘kit’ are available for you to borrow (free of charge).
The pretty half acre garden is available for everyone to enjoy & has a summerhouse, swings, football net, BBQ & garden furniture. There is plenty of parking. Free WiFi is available. A laundry room is available for guests’ use.
Wishing Well sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms. The entrance from the courtyard leads into the brand new kitchen (Feb 2017), fully equipped with full size cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave etc . (See the inventory at the end of this page for a comprehensive list of kitchen equipment). There is a breakfast bar with 4 stools.A sliding door separates the kitchen from the cosy beamed sitting/dining room.
Little Thatch sleeps 2-4 people in 1 bedroom with a double sofa bed in the lounge. It has a front and back entrance, both with lovely thatched porches. All the rooms are on the ground floor so it might suit anyone who is partly disabled (click on the ‘Accessibility’ attachment at the end of this page for more information).
Burgate Farmhouse is accessed through lovely old gates & a long gravel drive with flower beds on either side. There is a large gravel area in front of the house so there is plenty of parking for all.
