Named after a famous Japanese poet, Komachi restaurant in Surry Hills specialises in small plates to share ranging from sashimi and edamame and freshly prepared sushi rolls, including their signature ‘komachi' version with Japanese herbs and cucumber. All noodles are handmade on site, and guests can also sample unique desserts such as the green tea ice cream with sweet bean paste.
Komachi was named after Onono Komachi, a beautiful woman. Onono Komachi was a famous poet during the “Heian Jidai”, approximately two thousand years ago.
