Italian for ‘The Hills', this family restaurant opened in 1989 and is well and truly a part of the furniture on the Castle Hill dining front. It is a relaxed Italian venue with red-and-white chequered tablecloths, with some classic seafood dishes on the menu. Daniel Manccino Head Chef at La Collina, was the executive chef at the Motta Restaurant in Milan, before migrating to Australia.
Friendly and casual, La Collina is perfect for group celebrations and is a favourite among the locals who have been coming here for decades. Diners are able to choose between indoor seating or the large covered outdoor alfresco area which, with its outdoor heating, makes for a great dining space year round. The menu is varied, offering traditional Italian pastas, a great line up of both traditional and gourmet pizzas, and hearty meals including veal, chicken and seafood prepared in a variety of ways. Children and those with gluten intolerance are well catered for with a variety of gluten free pastas and kids' size meals.
