Piazza D’oro 2014 Australian Barista of the Year Award
Marius Beullens from Margot Espresso in Sydney claimed the title of Australia’s best Piazza D’oro barista of 2014.
Beullens competed alongside a host of talented baristas from around the country to claim the title together with a $2,000 cash prize and a bespoke Isomac Tea Espresso Machine.
Each of the finalists competed at the Piazza D’Oro Barista Workshop in Sydney under the watchful eye of Master Roaster Wayne Archer, and trainers Daniel Vergnano and Luke Coghlan.
After an intense day of competition, which tested the barista’s ability to create world-class coffee, it was Marius Beullens from Margot Espresso who reigned supreme and consistently amazed the expert judging panel with his exceptional skill.
