Ranked no.2 in Newbury on Trip Advisor, the inn was purchased in 2005 and restored to its former glories by working owners, Jonathan & Jean Nelsey. The hotel now boasts 30 modern en suite bedrooms, all refurbished in 2015/6 and equipped to a good 3 star standard, with free wi-fi, satellite television and film library.
In addition to the accommodation we have a unique oak framed restaurant, The Barn and relaxing dining in the bar. All our food is locally sourced, and freshly cooked, and we are very proud to be the reigning West Berkshire BA restaurant & Bar of the Year.
