Shenkin Kitchen is the third in the Shenkin brothers set of eateries, this one run by Din and Bar Haikin. Sit at the cosy courtyard or the long share table to enjoy something different for breakfast. No boring boiled and eggs and toast here - the brothers Middle Eastern background can be seen in ever dish - from cheese and spinach burekas, shakshuka and sides of hummus, green tahini, labbane, or spicy coriander, it's very likely you'll find a new favourite breakfast you never knew you liked.
After establishing ourselves in Erko and Newtown we headed up the road. Only a few minutes from Newtown station, Enmore has its own bustling culture going on – live music and shows at the Enmore Theatre, an eclectic mix of small bars and cuisines, and of course Shenkin Kitchen – the only place with both delicious reliable coffee and all day middle eastern style breakfast.
