The Calvert Trust is a registered charity that aims to enable people with disabilities, together with their families and friends, to achieve their potential through the challenge of outdoor adventure in the countryside.
Calvert Trust Kielder Centre has over 25 years experience of providing holidays, they welcome guests of all ages and abilities. Situated in their own 40-acre woodland site within the spectacular Kielder Water & Forest Park. The location boasts 27 miles of shoreline, an environment full of wildlife and flora, fresh, clean air and magnificent expansive horizons.
Their catered activity package includes fully accessible accommodation, home-cooked meals and a wide range of on-site activities for all ages and abilities. You can visit with friends, family, carer or in a larger group. Guests can stay in single, double or twin rooms which are all en suite.
The facilities vary considerably and they cater for individual requirements, so it is recommended that you contact them to discuss your requirements before booking.
The centre have a great team leading the activity programme. Their instructors are experts in the field of disability and hold National Governing Body qualifications and are fully CRB checked. They are also registered with AALS and offer an array of activities on-site. Kielder Water is just minutes away and provides a stunning setting for watersports. The centre have a hoist on the jetty so their watersports are accessible to everyone.
