YHA London Lee Valley is a Youth Hostel with a twist as we are split over six buildings. We have five wooden Lodges with accommodation in them and a main wooden lodge which contains the cafe-style communal areas and conferencing facilities. Look out for our new wall murals and prepare to be inspired! The wooden lodges include en-suite rooms, small social areas and high quality kitchenettes - perfect for low cost family breaks.
YHA London Lee Valley is the perfect accommodation if you want a great mix of city sightseeing and activities. We are situated in the Lee Valley Regional Park - a 10,000 acre rural retreat just outside of London where you can explore open green spaces and even take part in watersports like white water rafting. Our attractive log structures sit in well-tended grounds and there's plenty of space for children to play just outside.
Just a twenty minute train journey from central London, the hostel is within easy reach of the capital - perfect for sightseeing and city breaks. A train ticket purchased at Cheshunt station even includes your unlimited tube travel for the whole day - making it a great value day out.
YHA London Lee Valley is a 118 bed Youth Hostel situated on the doorstep of London and the Lee Valley Park.
The accommodation at this hostel is split up into five wooden lodges and comprises of 30 rooms in total. There is an eight bedded room, a six bedded room, a twin, two rooms with a double bed and a single above (in the style of a bunk bed) and either a three or four bedded room in each lodge. Lodges 1, 2 and 3 contain six rooms with 24 beds (there is a four bedded room in each) and Lodges 4 and 5 contain six rooms with 23 beds (there is a three bedded room in each).
The larger eight and six bedded rooms can be either private rooms or dormitory rooms and the smaller rooms can also be used as private rooms. All of the rooms here are en-suite with a shower, toilet and sink in the bathroom. The larger rooms have a separate shower room and toilet and sink room. Each lodge has a disabled toilet on the ground floor. All of the lodges have a small lounge/dining area/kitchenette which can cater for smaller numbers. We have a large catered kitchen and dining area in the main building.
In the main building there is the reception area which doubles up as a tea shop during the day. The hostel has a large dining room which is located at the back of the building and can seat up to 110 people. From here there is access to the back of the hostel where our extensive grounds can be found.
YHA London Lee Valley also has four conference rooms, all of which are different sizes. They vary from seating 10 people boardroom style to up to 100 people theatre style. The main building also contains a games room, library, TV lounge and a laundry room with two washing machines and a tumble dryer. There is also a cycle store which can be accessed from inside the hostel.
The grounds at the hostel surround the six buildings with plenty of grassy areas and picnic benches to soak up the sunshine. YHA London Lee Valley is a fantastic location if you want to be near a city but far enough away to still enjoy the rural landscape of Lee Valley.
