We’re a proudly independent music venue situated on the leafy Bayswater Road in Sydney’s Kings Cross in a historic four-storey Victorian terrace.
The grand old building was once an extravagant bordello, a gambling den and the offices of INXS. Today it stands transformed as Sydney’s most charismatic bar and nightclub experience – a preferred palace of perennial partying, The World Bar.
Our maze of rooms, booths, stairwells and hidden areas is open for exploration 7 days and nights a week, accented by an expansive outdoor terrace garden. When you walk through our doors you can expect an eclectic mash of music; indie bands plying their trade, local DJs pushing the limits of what’s acceptable and international acts throwing down their cutting-edge sounds in an NY-style underground nightclub. Hipster club kids, travellers and locals – people of all ages and walks of life – make up the thousands who cross our threshold weekly.
Rinse, repeat. We’re also literally world famous for our Teapot™ Cocktails, a beverage designed for sharing amongst like-minded reprobates, in shots poured from the spout of a teapot. If you haven’t tried one, we imagine they’ll cross your path soon enough.
