With a sudden slew of openings, Glebe is turning into a small bar haven as quality drinking dens pop up along Glebe Point Road. Timbah is off the beaten track on Forsyth Street and has quickly become a local haunt. Offering a space to linger over good wine and food this comfortable neighbourhood meeting spot is a welcome addition to the area.

Timbah, one of Sydney’s first wine bars to offer democracy in a bottle. Tim and Louise Smith, two passionate wine enthusiasts created Timbah to offer a non assuming friendly environment where people can meet and enjoy a selection of wines. The space is both warm and welcoming.

Also offering delightful share plates of food with adaptions from the Australian outback, as well as some produce sourced for our terrace garden. Here you will find a large selection of both domestic and international wines, with a focus on small producers, unusual varieties and Timbah’s own wine. A Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet Merlot made in partnership with Paul Drogemuller and Kathy Drogemuller at Paracombe Winery in the Adelaide Hills, available exclusively at Timbah.

Wines offered by the glass are derived from the wine game of democracy in a bottle, giving you the Consumer the opportunity to select the wines we open and pour by the glass, 4 whites and 4 reds will be on offer at any on time.
