Fancy a Tipple? Away from the congestion of Crown Street, across from Central Station, lower Surry Hills is delivering the goods with Tipple Bar and Bistro. The venture of two former hotel managers Luke O'Donohoe and Zac Davis, Tipple has an old-world meets new age pop feel with recycled-wood tables and stools covered in stamped hessian sacks scattered around the room and a prominent black-and-white mural by Australian Pop artist Ben Frost covering two walls. The food is a mixture of pub classics meets ‘on trend' street food with the likes of pork sliders, soft shells tacos and braised meat sandwiches. Craft beer, gastropub food and tacos in an arty, roomy bar with eclectic chairs and a wall mural.
