Two Good Eggs in Surry Hills is a little hard to find, but it only makes it that much more satisfying when you discover this great little hole-in-the-wall cafe. The double-sided A4 menu sheet is like a metaphor for the food it lists: simple but quality, with many items made in-house "from scratch". Specialising in a European inspired breakfast and lunch menu Two Good Eggs has become an institution in the heart of Sydney. On days when the weekend seems like an eternity away, it's the small things that make life bearable. Like a friendly nod from the barista pumping out takeaways or perhaps just the familiar smile from the busy waitress as she runs dishes to a table. They mightn't seem like much but these are all the required trimmings that come together to create a great cafe.
