The Clarendon Hotel is comprised of a row of eighteenth century residences, originally built for City merchants and seafarers. Today, it is what many people consider the finest Georgian hotel in south-east London.

Having been in the ownership of the O’Donnell family for over 52 years and the family love of Maritime Greenwich is reflected in some of the names of the public rooms. The Meridian Restaurant, named after the Prime Meridian of the World, located at the Royal Observatory in nearby Greenwich Park. The main bar is named after navigational charts used by sailors to navigate the globe.
