Linthwaite House will be closed for refurbishment from Monday the 19th of June until early March 2018. Leeu Collection will be upgrading this popular Lake District boutique hotel in order to bring you an even better, more beautiful Linthwaite House.

Located in the heart of England’s Lake District and set in 14 acres (5.7 hectares) of established gardens and well-maintained private woodlands, this luxurious 30-room boutique hotel is home to an acclaimed restaurant. Linthwaite House, which is on a hilltop overlooking Lake Windermere, is the perfect base from which to explore the scenic surroundings.

Linthwaite House, with its superb location and breathtaking views, has been awarded ‘Most Excellent Country House Hotel’ by Johansens and placed in the top 200 hotels of the UK by the AA. Linthwaite is a four AA Red Star hotel with an award winning restaurant.

Linthwaite House is the latest addition to the portfolio of Leeu Collection, the manifestation of founder Analjit Singh’s vision for sophisticated escapes and unique travel experiences. Leeu Collection’s hospitality portfolio currently comprises three five-star boutique properties in South Africa’s winelands: Leeu Estates, a 17-room country house retreat and boutique winery in the Franschhoek valley (opening 15 June 2016); Leeu House, an exclusive 12-room hotel in the heart of Franschhoek village; and Le Quartier Français, a romantic 21-room hotel also located in the village.

Accommodation Facilities: 30 individually designed bedrooms, all with en-suite bath and shower, or a luxury walk-in shower; flat-screen TV, with SKY channels and a DVD player; a Bluetooth or iPod dock radio or CD Hi-Fi player (we have a library of CDs and DVDs which guests can borrow free of charge); complimentary Wi-Fi; H²Ousewater; Molton Brown toiletries; waffle weave bathrobes; hairdryer; iron and ironing board; and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Our Best Rooms also have Nespresso coffee machines.

We have a Level 1 of the Accessibility Standard disabled-friendly room on the ground floor with its own external entrance and parking space (close to the hotel). Full room service is available in all bedrooms. We are a non-smoking hotel.
